We’re civilised…you know?

I’ve made a nice little sitting area on the front verandah. I relocated a couple of the outdoor chairs out there next to the little table and gnomes. I had my lunch out there and I can’t believe it’s the first time I’ve done that.
Just spectacular. Sitting in the cool overlooking my imaginary landscaped front.

I have resolved to do it more often.

Chook update

My hens are Malay Game. I have been letting them out during the day since Wednesday. So far, they haven’t been very adventurous. Perhaps because it is too hot and they prefer the shade of their shed.

I have 3/4 walls painted in Fraser’s new room.

I bought edging today for the lavender/gaura garden and potted the hydrangeas that I planted in the ground a few weeks ago. I think they will prefer the shade of the veranda. I have also bought 3 little wicker baskets which I will be turning into hanging pot plants. It’s an experiment but I envisage great things for these baskets.

January is the month for Doing.Things.

I forgot to mention the biggest news of all!

Thanks to Aunty Janey’s help Fraser can say a bunch of new words. Since Christmas eve he picked up bath, cheese, please, Bob [the builder], and cool.
I’m so excited!
